How to make a reservation

Please call us at 831.624.2756 to reserve your ride. You can make a reservation seven days a week between the hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm PST. Our rides are available year-round

When you call, we will ask for the number of people in your group, your desired ride time, the type of ride you would like to take and the ages of any kids in your party.

      Please be prepared with a VISA or MasterCard number to hold your reservation.

      Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before your ride is scheduled to depart

      For cancellations, please allow 24 hours notice

      At this time, we do not take reservations on-line.

Frequently Asked Questions

      How far in advance should I make a reservation? Depends on the time of year. Around summer and any holidays, we recommend a minimum of one week ahead of time, however you are welcome to make reservations months in advance.

      What should I wear? Long pants, like jeans, and tennis shoes or hiking boots are best. Try to avoid open-toed shoes. Please, no flip-flops. Dress in layers. Bring a sweatshirt or sweater and a jacket.

     Can I bring my camera? Yes. You are welcome to bring still cameras and video cameras on the trail. Any guidelines for riders under 18 years of age? Yes. All riders under 18 require a parent or guardian signature on waiver forms. We require that all riders under 18 wear helmets. We provide safety-approved helmets at no cost. All riders are welcome to helmets.

     Can you ride “double?” No, we do not allow two people to ride the same horse.

     Are the horses saddled English or Western? All of our trail horses are tacked up Western. If you are an experienced English rider, you may request an English saddle. Please do so when making your reservation.·       

      What is your weight limit? 250 pounds.

About the Rides

Rides depart year-round, Tuesday - Sunday:

10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:30pm. by reservation.

Group Beach Ride. Explore the beauty of the Monterey Peninsula with the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center. Ride to some of the most breathtaking spots on earth. See the rugged Pacific Coastline and world-famous fairways, including Cypress Point and Spy Glass. Climb natural dunes and encounter deer, see whales, sea lions and sea otters down by the beach along famous 17 Mile Drive. This is a great ride for anyone 12 years and older. It lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Family Forest Ride. Ride through the Del Monte forest and up sand dunes overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This wonderful trail will show you a special dune environment where you and your children will see a variety of wildflowers, hidden fox dens, soaring red tail hawks and deer among the shadows in the trees. Suitable for anyone seven years and older. This rides lasts approximately 50 minutes.

Private Beach Ride. The private ride follows the same route as the group beach ride, however, the ride is limited to your party and one of our trail guides. Suitable for anyone 12 years and older. Departure times are flexible, and the ride lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.  

Private Extended Ride. If you’re looking for a longer ride through Pebble Beach, you’ll enjoy our Extended Ride. The ride takes you through the majority of our beach ride, but once riders cross over from the beach, they ride home through the forested Indian Village Picnic Grounds and into the Spyglass Hill Golf Course, past the Pro Shop and Clubhouse. Suitable for anyone 12 years and older. This ride is approximately one hour and 50 minutes.

Pony Rides. Ride a pony through the beautiful Equestrian Center grounds. Watch horses jumping in a lesson, see the big hay barn and explore the stables where all the horses live. Pony rides available by reservation. Great for children 3 to 6 years of age. A parent or guardian must be present.

Pony Parties. Pebble Beach Pony Parties are a great way to celebrate birthdays and special events. Your little buckaroos will enjoy riding Fudge, Echo, Little Star and Cupcake around the Equestrian Center. We also provide a large lawn with picnic tables and “kid jumps” where you can set up cake and party games. Please call for pricing.
